After spending the night at the Lavender Town Pokemon Center, Elliot, Janelle, and Mindy decided to make a short visit to the Pokemon Tower. Elliot sighed, looking down at the grave that held the names of his deceased Pokemon; Ted, Floretta, Warren, and Damon.
He flinched, thinking he felt something breathing down his neck. He quickly turned to see Gary on the other side of the room. He walked over. “Gary?”
The brunette looked at his rival. “Oh, hey Elli…” He looked back at the grave of his Rattata. “Rest in peace, Greg…” He looked back at Elliot. “Did you visit lost ones?” He sighed. “I normally would challenge you a battle, but I think it can wait this one time.” He smirks. “Smell ya later,” he says before walking off.
Elliot smiled before following him and heading West to route 8. As soon as he left Lavender Town, he felt something jump onto him and jump back off, taking his hat with it. “H-Hey! Give that back!”
Elliot looked on the ground, seeing his hat laying at his feet. When he reached down to grab it, it started to run away from him. “Hey! Guys! Help me get that hat!”
While Elliot ran after his hat with four of his six Pokemon, Hilary held Janelle back with her. “I just wanted to… tell you that I’m… sorry.”
Janelle blinked. “What?”
“I clearly did… something that caused you to… hate me. I don’t know what it… is, but-”
“Don’t kid yourself,” Janelle interrupted. “I just lost… a close friend to a Machop.”
“Maybe we could… start over?”
Janelle looked down at the young Machop and smiled softly. “Sure, kiddo.”
“Got it!” Elliot called out. As he put his hat back on his head, he stared down at a rather plump Rattata. “Why’d you steal my hat?”
The mouse Pokemon shrugged. “It was something to do.”
Hilary walked over to the Rattata. “You got a… name?”
“Greg.”
Mindy looked at Elliot. “Wasn’t that the name of Gary’s Rattata?”
Elliot gently picked up the rat, despite his complaints. “I’ll forgive you for stealing my hat… If you join my team.”
The rat looked into his eyes and sighed. “Whatever.”

This is a Nuzlocke of Pokemon Yellow. There are no natures, traits, or abilities. There are also no shinys.
Rules:
Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released. (normally I would just box it, but since the boxing mechanic is weird in first gen, so I'll release it)
I may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else.
I must also nickname all of their Pokémon, for the sake of forming stronger emotional bonds.
A black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
Don't use the Master Ball.
No catching/using legendary Pokémon.
When I get to the Safari Zone, I'm gonna catch one Pokemon per area.
If I seem to spam you with this Nuzlocke in the near future, it's because I want to finish this as quick as I can so I can start Crystal x3 Also, I plan to have the final chapter drawn, so if you miss the comic strips of the past, you have something to look forward to
