The Chosen - Chapter 4-3

Elliot began his journey away from Cerulean, towards the Rock Tunnel. With him, he had Scotty, Edna, Albert, Janelle, Mindy, and Jessi.

Janelle flew next to Edna, smiling. “Did you ever want to have kids? Kinda bad that your evolutionary family can’t breed in the second and third stages, huh?”

Edna smiled up at her. “It’s fine. I can always adopt if I-” Bump. The Nidoqueen looked down to see a small Nidoran male looking up at her.

“S-Sorry…” He had longer hair and longer eyelashes. “I-I wasn’t looking where I w-was going…”

Edna smiled sweetly and gently picked him up. “It’s fine. What’s your name? You got a family?”

The smaller ‘mon blinked. “R-Ricky… M-My family was taken from me by trainers…”

Edna hugged him gently and looked at Elliot. “Can we keep him? Please? He’s so cute and all alone.”

Elliot smiled. “Sure, if he wants. We could always use more team members.”

Ricky blinked, a small smile creeping across his face. “Y-You mean it?” He hugged Enda tightly. “Of course  I’ll stay with you.” He noticed the Nidoking, who was watching them. “Who’s he?”

Edna blinked and looked at over at the taller poison/ground type. “That’s Albert. He’s part of the team.”

The Nidoran nodded and looked up at Edna. “And you are?”

“Edna. But… if you want, I can be your new mom…”

Ricky blinked and hugged her tighter. “Yes. I’d love you to be my mom.”

Elliot smiled and put him inside an empty Pokeball. He smiles as the Pokeball fades away, sending Ricky to the box.

When the group reach route 10, they all decided to do some training as a group.

Haku was with the Sandslash. “You better not slow me down.”

Jessi blinked and looked at him. “What’s your problem? Ever since you joined the team, you’ve been nothing but irritable. Why don’t you just loosen up and make some friends?”

“Make some… friends?” The two ‘mons blinked and looked towards the bushes. Out of them came a slightly curvy Machop. “Hi. Sorry if I… startled you. My name is… Hilary.”

The Sandslash blinked. “You seem rather unsure of yourself.” She shrugged. “I’m Jessi and this irritable Squirtle is Haku.”

Hilary blinked. “I’ve never… seen a pair like… you two. Are you two… a couple?”

Jessi blinked. “What? Me and Debbi Downer over here? Forget it!”

Haku blinked. “Yeah… Not gonna happen…” The tiny turtle turned and walked to the nearby Pokemon Center where the others were waiting.

The Sandslash smiled sweetly. “Hey, you wanna join our team? We’re always looking for new members.”

The Machop blinked. “Sure. Sounds like… fun.”
